What is IntEGre?

A student organization for integration

IntEGre is a student organization focused on the integration of new students in Grenoble, and was created in 2002 by students of the Université Joseph Fourier, from the International Relations study programme. To this day, volunteers and sometimes a few employees work hard to organise events and develop programmes to welcome students studying all across Grenoble.

By taking part in activities, outings, and parties, students can fully appreciate their study period in Grenoble. Our goal is to allow them to meet other students from different cultures, and with different academic background and interests, while discovering local heritage and France in general.

Membership and Volunteering

Students have the option to become members of IntEGre, which is mandatory for certain big events and trips, and also allows them to have lowered prices on our paid events, as well as with partner businesses in Grenoble. The yearly membership fee is also a way for students to support the organization, and maybe even a first step towards becoming a volunteer.

Volunteers who take an active part in running the organization have the chance to live an international experience by meeting the students, and also participate in our fun and interesting events which always try to foster sharing and good times!

Our Mission

Making students feel at home

Our goal is to effectively help international students adapt to their new life in Grenoble, often welcoming people from over sixty different nationalities.

The desire to assist international students has brought together volunteers from various backgrounds, all of whom are eager to share experiences with others, discover new cultures, and build the relation between French and International students. Our team of volunteers works to maintain and expand a growing list of events and activities to help accopmlish this!

These programmes and events contribute to help students discover the region, french culture, to foster exchange between french and international students, and to help newly arrived students adapt to Grenoble more quickly!

Notre Mission

Our values

Our activity is deeply rooted in shared values such as welcoming, sharing, exchanging, and discovering. These are central in guiding our programmes and events, which have constituted our history for the last 18 years. Both our volunteers and members can identify with these values, and hold the well-being and integration of new students as their top priority!

These values are what allow the volunteers to band together to organise more than 70 events per year, and to give IntEGre a particular role to the organization on campus.
